Legal proposal valid by e-mail

The Federal Supreme Court has ruled that a legal proposal in the case of debt collection by e-mail is generally valid in form. However, the debtor must prove that the legal proposal submitted by e-mail was received by the debt collection office in good time. It is best if the sender asks the recipient for an acknowledgement of receipt. If this is not received, the sender can still respond in writing or follow up with the office.
