AHV – increase contribution rates as of 1.1.2020

On 19 May 2019, the Swiss public supported the federal tax reform and AHV financing in a referendum vote. As part of these reforms a stabilization of the AHV is taking place.

The AHV contributions increase for the first time in more than 40 years, by 0.3%. For employees, this means an increase in payroll deductions of 0.15%. The employers also pay a 0.15% share. Self-employed people carry the entire 0.3%.
