Tax reform and AHV financing

On 7 June 2018 the Council of States introduced a social-political compensation in favour of the AHV amounting to CHF 2 billion into the tax reform 17. The reform is therefore now called “federal law on tax reform and AHV funding”. The business is now forwarded to the National Council.

The timely implementation of the tax reform 17 is critical to the Swiss economy. Switzerland wants to remain attractive, survive in international competition and create jobs. Cantons, cities and municipalities are committed to the reform.
