Shareholders with new information rights outside the AGM

Under the new company law effective 1 January 2023, shareholders of private companies holding at least 10% of the share capital or voting rights may request information from the board of directors at any time and not only at the general meeting. The Board of Directors must answer the questions within four months.
Shareholders holding at least 5% of the share capital or voting rights may now also inspect the business books and correspondence without the authorisation of the general meeting.
