Debt enforcement can be stopped with a petition

The Federal Supreme Court has ruled that debt enforcement officially begins with the service of the payment order.
If a person wishes to prevent the debt enforcement from being disclosed to third parties, they can submit an application. To do so, however, they must prove that the claim was already paid prior to the debt enforcement. (Source: BGE 5A_245/ 2024 of 29 August 2024)
